The motel staff recounted Selena'south final words.

Saldívar engaged in a standoff with constabulary at the hotel.

Saldívar was convicted of first-degree murder.

Selena's murder trial took 9 days after the jury was seated. Prosecutors said Selena had confronted Saldívar about embezzlement allegations. Saldívar said the shooting was an accident.
